Here is a quick list on how to protect yourself from fraud

Warning: A San Jose Child Care Center spent 8 hours training their entire staff in CPR and First-aid. After the training, they discovered that the class was not EMSA certified so they had to train the entire staff again, and pay for the training again. Be careful. There are many scams in the Bay Area and on the internet for CPR Training.

1. Do not give out your credit card number
I have heard there are a few out of state CPR companies that take the money and run.
STS does not ask for payment before the class. We send out the bill afterwards – 30 days billing.

2. Make sure you take an American Heart Association or EMSA certified course
There are lots of Bay Area CPR companies that do not issue offical CPR cards.
STS is an American Heart Association Training Site. We issue AHA CPR cards (EMSA approved).

3. Research the reputation of a CPR Training Company & shop locally
Beware of out of state CPR Training companies or companies that have not been established.
